If you're a completionist and got this in a bundle deal I would suggest to avoid it aswell. Eventually the stability results in *CRASH*. Also, at some point during gameplay there's another issue which will cause the game frame rate to become unstable and drop sharply (IE: "stutter"). At medium->high settings around 150FPS which for the visuals and processing actually going on in the game is still on the low side. At the max settings you're looking at 40ish FPS on a modern machine. The game performance is absolutely abysmal. In the end I got to a point where I couldn't progress further, unfortunately because it was crashing every single time once the mission I was on begun. A lot of the time just getting into the game is a small miracle as it'll crash a lot. If you try to skip those you'll possibly skip the achievement (and due to crashing during the game you're likely going to want to skip those intros.a lot) for completing a level and more importantly the game will probably crash.
Each mission has an introduction kind of cinematic, explaining the objectives and setting up what's going on. Even on the highest difficulty setting the extremely braindead zombie-bots are fun to kill. When the singleplayer works (which 90% of the time it won't) it's kind of enjoyable.
For completionists looking for that sweet 100% these factors automatically put this game into the reject pile. They both have seperate achievements but yet the multiplayer version has the singleplayer achievements which can't actually be obtained normally and additionally there's one achievement which was a limited time deal and can't be obtained anymore. One for multiplayer and one for singleplayer. The game is actually split into two downloads or installs. Also as a bonus the multiplayer part of the game isn't as unstable compared to the singleplayer in terms of game crashing and bugs. There is still a small but seemingly dedicated playerbase and when they are lacking at least there are bots to shoot at, although they have absolutely no awareness of anything going on around them. The multiplayer part of this game is fairly decent, I think. At level 50, the weapon recieves pearl grips and a nickel finish.Red Orchestra 2 is an authentic shooter set in WW2.
